Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Wealthify

The latest senior moves in wealth and asset management from across Europe and the UK.

Wealthify
Online investment platform Wealthify has made two senior appointments to accelerate growth. Fintech founder and ex Barclays Akshaya Bhargava is joining as a non-executive director, and former Virgin Money CIO, Michelle McGrade, is joining the firm’s investment committee.

Aviva first took a stake in the robo advisor in 2017 and bought out the business last year.

Bhargava has launched several investment industry businesses, including fintechs Bridgeweave and InfraHedge. Most recently, he was global CEO of the wealth and investments business at Barclays. He is also former chief executive at both Butterfield Fulcrum Group (acquired by MUFG) and Progeon (now Infosys BPO), and has served in a number of senior roles at Citibank.

McGrade previously built an online platform serving retail investors and worked in many consumer-focused roles, including non-executive director at Diverse Income Trust and M&G Securities. She has also served as chief investment officer at both Virgin Money and TD Direct Investing.
