Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Schroders

The latest senior moves in wealth and asset management from across Asia.

Stephan Ruoff has taken up the role of head for the Schroder Secquaero, an insurance-linked business within Schroder Investment Management Switzerland. He succeeds Dirk Lohmann.

Ruoff’s appointment as designated successor was announced in November 2019.

As the former chief executive of Tokio Millennium Re, which acted as a service provider for a large number of ILS managers, Ruoff has “broad and deep knowledge of the alternative capital market for reinsurance,” Schroders said.

Lohmann, a co-founder of Secquaero Advisors, the predecessor of Schroder Secquaero, remains with the organisation as chairman of the Schroder Secquaero business - a newly-created position.

Additionally, Flavio Matter, senior underwriter, non-life, was promoted in August to head of origination to lead the now combined underwriting and transaction management teams. Matter joined Secquaero Advisors in October 2014 and has over 15 years of natural catastrophe modelling and reinsurance underwriting experience.
