ABN Amro has appointed Gilles Rollet as the head of private clients, Middle East and the Indian subcontinent. The bank said the appointment was part of an initiative to enhance its private banking in the two regions. Mr Rollet will be based in Dubai. “ABN Amro aims to double the size of the team for private banking in the region,” said Mr Rollet in a statement accompanying the announcement. “We are increasing resources to enable us to enhance coverage of Saudi Arabia and the Levant region, and to further develop the NRI (Non Resident Indian) and NRP (Non Resident Pakistani) segment of businesses.” Previously Mr Rollet was the Middle East head of private clients based in Geneva before being relocated to Dubai with the additional responsibilities for the Indian Subcontinent.
