Former Danish Premier, NATO Boss Joins Citigroup

Rasmussen has a career in public service stretching back for more than 30 years.

Citigroup has appointed Anders Fogh Rasmussen, a former NATO Secretary General and Denmark Prime Minister as a senior advisor.

Rasmussen is joining as a senior advisor in Citi’s European, Middle East and Africa business, with a primary focus on the Nordic region, the US bank said in a statement yesterday.

“Anders brings excellent relationships along with vast experience and knowledge of geopolitics, at a time when a deep understanding of the forces shaping our global economy have never been more critical for our clients”, Philip Drury, Citi’s head of banking, capital markets and advisory for EMEA, said.

Rasmussen has been at the centre of European and global politics for more than three decades serving as a leading Danish parliamentarian, Danish Minister of Economic Affairs, Prime Minister of Denmark, and as Secretary General of NATO.
