Swiss bank Julius Baer’s London-based investment banking arm, Julius Baer International, has expanded its asset management distribution team with the appointment of Marion Williams.

Ms Williams will support the London sales team, promote Julius Baer’s products to UK clients and focus on third party relationships such as those with fund platforms and distributors, the firm said in a statement.

Ms Williams will be joining from Threadneedle Asset Management where she was account executive for London and the Channel Islands dealing with life companies, platforms, funds of funds, stockbrokers, IFAs and private banks.

She will report to Stephen Moore, executive director and head of UK sales at Julius Baer International, who also joined from Threadneedle where he was director to financial institutions responsible for implementing distribution strategies and developing wholesale relationships.

Julius Baer International is part of GAM Holding which incorporated GAM, Artio Global Investors and Julius Baer Asset Management Europe when the decision was taken in May to divide the Swiss bank’s private banking and asset management arms into two fully separate listed companies.
