The UK-listed firm continues a busy period of hiring and business alliances.

Schroders has recently made several top-level changes, unveiling a number of appointments, as it continues a busy round of announcements about Asia and UK wealth management.

Charles Prideaux, who brings 30 years of management experience, including portfolio and investment platform management, has been appointed to the newly-created role of global head of investment. Along with the ESG team and the Data Insights Unit, Prideaux will be responsible for managing, overseeing and developing Schroders’ investment platform.

After 38 years with the firm, John Troiano, global head of distribution, is retiring at the end of the year to ensure that his responsibilities are transferred smoothly.

Lieven Debruyne, who has been leading business strategy in Asia-Pacific over the past 14 years, will be global head of distribution. Debruyne will continue as CEO of Asia Pacific until a successor is appointed, at which time he will relocate from Hong Kong to London.

In addition to her existing role as global head of multi-asset investments, Johanna Kyrklund has been appointed as group chief investment officer. Carolina Minio-Paluello is joining from Lombard Odier Investment Managers as global head of Product, Solutions & Quant, where she was most recently global head of solutions.

“Schroders has grown rapidly over the past three years and now is the time to evolve further our investment business to ensure we are well-positioned to continue this progress. Bringing together the central oversight of investment management and performance, as well as product development, will enhance our ability to meet clients’ demands by developing innovative investment strategies and leverage our market-leading ESG, data insights and quant capabilities,” Peter Harrison, group CEO, said.

Prideaux, Minio-Paluello and Kyrklund will work in partnership across Schroders’ investment desks.
