The firm continues to expand its North American links following its strategic alliance with Glenmede Trust Company late last year.
Multi-family office Stonehage Fleming, which has recently expanded its reach into the North American market, has appointed a director to join its global business development team. The appointee is Darrell King, joining from Royal Bank of Canada. He starts immediately and will work in the firm’s office in Philadelphia.
King’s hire follows the recent appointment of Julie Gauthier, director – business development, Switzerland. King joins members of the global business development team based in London, Zurich and Toronto.
At RBC King worked at the Canadian bank’s international wealth management division, where he was head of intermediary relationships (USA). In this role, he was responsible for developing integrated investment, trust and private banking solutions for high net worth clients. He holds the Trust & Estate Practitioner and the Certified Financial Planner designations.
King reports to Mike Moodie, global head of business development.
The MFO, founded in the UK, is spreading its wings. Late last year Stonehage Fleming unveiled its strategic alliance with Glenmede Trust Company, NA, a private wealth and institutional trust investment management firm in the US.
“Stonehage Fleming’s strategic alliance with Glenmede has led to the expansion of the group’s geographical reach across North America and Darrell’s appointment will help to leverage this,” Moodie said in a statement.
