Julius Baer Trumpets Responsible Banking Standards

The bank continues a trend of wealth managers stressing environmental, social and governance credentials.
Julius Baer has signed a declaration to support the United Nations Principles for Responsible Banking, saying that it is the first Swiss banking group to do so and continuing a trend of wealth managers stressing environmental, social and governance credentials.
The bank said it will formally sign the principles on the occasion of the UN General Assembly in New York in September this year.
The Principles for Responsible Banking have been developed by the UN Environment Finance Initiative and 28 banks from around the world and will be officially launched on 22 September 2019.
