The executive has been in his role since 2017.
The Asia-Pacific regional chief executive and chairman of Goldman Sachs, Ken Hitchner, is retiring form the firm, media reports quoted unnamed sources as saying.
Reuters and Bloomberg reported that Hitchner, who will continue in his Hong Kong-based role until the middle of this year, is to retire from the US firm.
The reports said that Goldman Sachs declined to comment.
A former pilot in the US Navy, Hitchner was appointed as the bank’s president for Asia-Pacific, excluding Japan, in 2013 and was named the region’s chairman and chief executive officer in 2017. He joined Goldman in 1991.
