The new hire was most recently at Barclays, where she was an overseas corporates relationship director.

US financial services firm Northern Trust has appointed Daniela Dotti as a senior relationship manager in its global family office and private investment offices group in London.

She will be responsible for providing support for Northern Trust's continental European clients, it said in a statement.

Dotti has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Most recently she spent a couple of years as an overseas corporates relationship director at Barclays. Prior to that, Dotti spent over 16 years working for UBS Wealth Management in a variety of roles in Switzerland, Jersey and London.

“We are pleased to appoint Daniela who, through her wealth of experience and multiple-language skills, will provide support to our growing continental Europe client base,” said Belinda Aspinall, head of GFO for Europe, the  Middle East and Africa at Northern Trust.

Founded in 1982, the global family and private investment offices group has helped families with significant wealth, their private foundations and the family offices that serve them, as well as private trust companies and private investment companies. The firm works with more than 450 families across the globe, with average assets per family under custody of $900 million.

This publication reported in July that Northern Trust's chief operating officer, Jana Schreuder, was retiring.
