California’s Silicon Valley Bank has formed an alliance with investment advisor GW & Wade to offer wealth and tax advisory services for private clients.

SVB Private Client Services is aimed at serving entrepreneurs, investors and senior executives within the industries that Silicon Valley Bank specialises in providing banking services for: technology, life science, venture capital and premium wine. GW & Wade serves a similar client segment and venture capital and private equity investors, in particular, will benefit from the firm's experience within their industries, the SVB said in a statement.

"Our private clients require sophisticated financial managers who understand the unique and comprehensive advisory needs of the executives and venture capitalists who lead and invest in technology companies," said Silvia Fernandez, head of SVB Private Client Services, Silicon Valley Bank.

Founded in 1983, Silicon Valley Bank has 27 US offices along with international operations in China, India, Israel and the UK. GW & Wade, meanwhile, has offices in Wellesley, Massachusetts and Palo Alto, California.
