Josh O'Neill, Assistant Editor, 11 July 2017

The firm is looking to bolster its corporate advisory business with its latest hire.

Stonehage Fleming, the UK-based family office, has appointed Simon Boadle as executive chairman of its corporate finance operation, a newly-created role.

Boadle works with Richard Hill, chief executive of corporate finance, and the team to provide advice to businesses and shareholders including entrepreneurs and families on corporate issues such as M&A and capital raising.

Based in London, he reports to Anton Sternberg, CEO of Stonehage Fleming's investments division.

Boadle has 30 years' experience in corporate finance advisory internationally.

Most recently, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers' UK corporate finance unit, where he was a senior partner and headed up the public company advisory group.

Prior to that, he was a director at NatWest Markets, which saw him work in London, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
