Both funds will be registered for sale in the UK, Europe and Asia, subject to regulatory approval.
Neuberger Berman is set to launch two new UCITS funds as part of its multi-asset solutions range.
The Multi-Asset Class Income Fund will use both traditional and alternative assets, aiming to generate yield by taking advantage of multiple uncorrelated yield sources.
“We believe thoughtful diversification across multiple uncorrelated income sources is the best avenue to enhancing income yield and dampening volatility,” said Erik Knutzen, chief investment officer of multi-asset class and lead manager on the Multi-Asset Class Income Fund.
The Multi-Asset Risk Premia Fund will be a diversified fund, not overly concentrated in any style or asset class, and will be managed by Ajay Jain.
“The fund will have long/short positions in deep, liquid markets across equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities with managed volatility targeting 5 per cent, and will aim to deliver positive absolute returns over a cycle, regardless of broad market performance,” said Jain.
Both funds will be sub-funds of the Irish-domiciled UCITS fund umbrella, Neuberger Berman Investment Funds, the group said in a statement.
