Asian Wealth Management Digital Solutions Firm Makes Raft Of Hires

A firm based in Hong Kong that works with wealth management businesses has made a number of senior hires.

Quantifeed, which provides digital wealth management solutions in Asia, has appointed Audrey Wong to the combined role of chief operating and financial officer. The firm has also made other senior hires in the region, bringing in several figures from Merrill Lynch.

The firm, based in Hong Kong, is expanding after a $4.5 million money-raising round held in July, it said.

Wong was previously at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she was COO of Asia-Pacific equities in Hong Kong. Her career spans more than 15 years in the investment banking sector, including roles as CFO and COO, Quantifeed said in a statement yesterday.

Other recent appointments at the firm include:

- Graeme Brant, based in Sydney, as senior executive for strategic partnerships. He drives the company's business in Australia. Brant has expertise in investment products and distribution to institutional, high net worth and retail investors. His career in financial services covers over 20 years, with senior posts at Merrill Lynch and Macquarie Bank.

- Dominic Chan, based in Hong Kong, will join by the end of 2016 as senior executive for strategic partnerships responsible for distribution in North Asia. He has over 16 years of experience from leading financial institutions including Standard Chartered Bank and JP Morgan.

- Chi-Leung Fung, based in Hong Kong, as senior developer of operations. He is a former director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He brings expertise in platform engineering and technology in electronic trading and derivatives.

Quantifeed's technology offers automated investing functions based on life goals, risk assessment and investment themes for consumers and wealth advisors. The company was founded by former investment banking executives Alex Ypsilanti, chief executive, and Ross Milward, chief technology officer, in Hong Kong in 2013.
