The UK investment manager has created a role to boost its presence in the advisor market.

James Hambro & Partners has appointed Glenn Hawksbee as head of financial intermediary sales.

Hawksbee previously spent 17 years at Quilter Cheviot, where he was head of sales. He left the company late last year.

In the newly-created role, he will be based in London.

“We are seeing a lot of interest from advisors at the moment and Glenn’s experience will be incredibly valuable in helping ensure we tailor our proposition most effectively to meet the advisor needs,” said James Horniman, partner at James Hambro & Partners.

“We’ve invested heavily in developing our advisor proposition in recent months and being able to attract the likes of Glenn is very encouraging.”

Founded in 2010, the firm has £1.8 billion ($2.4 billion) assets under management. With a 17-strong investment team, it serves financial advisors, charities and individuals.
