JP Morgan's asset management arm has welcomed back one of its European equity specialists.

Fund manager Sarah Emly has returned to JP Morgan Asset Management after a nine-month period of sick leave.

Emly, who stepped down in September last year, will resume her role as a portfolio manager within the firm's European equity group on a part-time basis.

Based in London, she has been with JP Morgan for over 20 years and specialises in managing UK institutional portfolios. The investment trusts she co-manages include the JPMorgan Claverhouse Investment Trust and the JPMorgan Income & Growth Trust, which respectively had £402.9 million ($520.8 million) and £86.4 million of assets of management as at 30 April.

“After her absence through ill health, Sarah returns to her role initially on a part-time basis and we very much welcome her back,” said statements from the trusts Emly works on.
