Charles Stanley Makes Another Brewin Dolphin Hire

The UK wealth manager has expanded its investment team with another senior hire from its rival.

Charles Stanley has appointed Gerald Carey as investment manager in London.

Carey joins the London-listed company from Brewin Dolphin where he spent 13 years as an investment manager. He previously also worked for GVG Capital and Gerrard Investment.

“We are committed to attracting and retaining the best talent in the industry and Gerald brings with him a wealth of expertise and experience. We will continue to invest in providing clients with a first rate service” said Anthony Scott, head of investment management at the firm.

The appointment comes after several hires from Brewin Dolphin over the last few weeks, including Edward Hagger and Luke Brampton, who joined JM Finn's investment management team as well as Peter Land, David Hanrahan and Alan Holton who joined Walker Crips, also as investment managers.
