The UK private banking division of Switzerland's EFG International has hired a former Coutts executive to its senior management team.

London-based EFG Private Bank has appointed former Coutts chief financial officer Jennifer Mathias as CFO and deputy chief executive.

Mathias served as CFO at Coutts between 2012 and late last year. She has 20 years of industry experience, having previously held senior roles at Lloyds Banking Group.

Mathias is the second ex-Coutts employee to join EFG Private Bank within two months. In December, Dmitri Rozanov became managing director, private banking, and member of the bank's management committee, responsible for the Central and Eastern Europe team. He formerly headed up the Russia/CIS and CEE business for Coutts & Co in the UK.

EFG Private Bank's offering covers banking and treasury, financial planning, asset management, fiduciary services and credit.
