Private bank Brown Shipley has joined forces with news service AngelNews to offer support to private investors and entrepreneurs in the UK.

Through the partnership, Brown Shipley will advise on strategies for investors to rebuild capital lost as a result of the credit crunch and support entrepreneurs to consolidate the wealth created as they grow their businesses.

AngelNews has been providing support to the enterprise community for the past five years, and the new partnership with Brown Shipley will complement its existing advisory services in areas such as accountancy and law, the firm said.

“There is an extremely strong entrepreneurial spirit in the UK, but entrepreneurs need support at all stages of their lives from a range of advisors…This strategic partnership with AngelNews will enable us to offer that support, helping them build their personal balance sheet, at the same time as they build the asset value of their businesses,” said Peter Collier, marketing strategy director at Brown Shipley.

Brown Shipley and AngelNews will work on a series of initiatives under the partnership, including advice delivered via AngelNews publications such as the AngelNewsletter Online, Wing Tips and AN – Making Life Richer.  They will also hold a number of joint events around the UK for entrepreneurs and investors which will cover a number of themes within private client asset management.
