SYZ Asset Management Names New Chief Economist

The asset management arm of Switzerland's SYZ Group has appointed a familiar face to the newly-created role of chief economist.
SYZ Asset Management has promoted Adrien Pichoud to chief economist.
Based in Geneva, Pichoud will take on the new role and become a member of the group's strategy committee. He will also become co-manager of the Oyster European Fixed Income and Oyster USD Bond funds, reporting to chief investment officer Fabrizio Quirighetti.
Pichoud, who joined SYZ as an economist in 2010, is already a member of the management team of the Oyster Multi-Asset Absolute Return EUR and Oyster Absolute Return GBP funds, as well as other multi-asset funds and institutional mandates in absolute return strategies. (Oyster is the firm’s UCITS investment fund range.)
“Adrien Pichoud’s skills as an economist greatly contribute to the quality of our investment strategy and the performance of our bond and multi-asset funds. This promotion demonstrates a strong internal progression confirmed by results,” said the chief executive of SYZ Asset Management, Katia Coudray.
The group's recent appointments include that of Coudray as chief executive of its institutional investment arm and Florent Guy-Ducrot as head of business development at SYZ Asset Management.
