Former regulator Clive Adamson will join JP Morgan Private Bank, subject to regulatory approval.

The Financial Conduct Authority's ex-director of supervision, Clive Adamson, is joining the board of JP Morgan's private banking arm.

Adamson left the UK financial watchdog late last year, where he supervised retail and wholesale conduct of regulated firms and served as an executive director of the board.

Pending regulatory approval, he will become a non-executive director of JP Morgan International Bank, the main legal entity for JP Morgan Private Bank in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, a spokesperson for JP Morgan said.

He is also set to serve as a senior advisor to the firm, reporting to its head of regulatory affairs in EMEA, Sally Dewar.
