Investec Asset Management Bolsters Multi-Asset Team
Investec's asset management arm has hired two new credit investing experts within its global multi-asset team.
Investec Asset Management, part of the London and Johannesburg-listed Investec banking group, has hired Jeff Boswell and Garland Hansmann to help drive the expansion of its multi-asset investment offering.
Both Boswell and Hansmann join from Intermediate Capital Group, where Boswell was head of high yield, and Hansmann head of portfolio management within the group's credit fund management unit.
The pair bring expertise in credit strategy to their new roles within Investec’s multi-asset investment team. Based in London, they will be responsible for building the team's specialist credit capabilities, while broadening its spectrum of solutions. Boswell and Hansmann will report to the team's co-heads: Michael Spinks, Philip Saunders and John Stopford.
"Hiring Jeff and Garland underlines our belief in the long-term potential of our specialist global credit business, and in enhancing our broader multi-asset investment capability,” said Domenico Ferrini, co-chief investment officer at Investec Asset Management.
“Not only will Jeff and Garland bring significant experience to our credit research and idea generation, they will also enable us to grow our range of strategies to meet our clients’ needs.”
As of the end of 2014, Investec Asset Management managed around $112 billion worldwide.
