Cazenove Capital Management Names New Investment Boss

London-based Cazenove Capital Management has promoted Richard Jeffrey to the post of chief investment officer, replacing Ann West when she relinquishes her role in January 2009.
Ms West will continue to work for Cazenove on a part-time basis, working on projects for the company’s private wealth management unit.
Mr Jeffrey joined Cazenove Capital earlier this year to work alongside Ms West as chief economist and strategist. He now steps up to take over her role as chief investment officer.
Mr Jeffrey has over 25 years of experience as a professional economist and strategist. He held senior positions at Hoare Govett (now ABN Amro), Charterhouse Securities, Bridgewell and, most recently, Ingenious Securities.
He is a frequent broadcaster on radio and television and has written for various newspapers and magazines. Mr Jeffrey is also involved with several policy think-tanks and academic institutions.
Ms West has been chief investment officer at Cazenove since 2002 having joined in 1989 and was the first female partner.
