The former head of discretionary sales at Ignis Asset Management, Jon Garland, is to join Ardevora Asset Management next month as a partner heading up sales distribution.

News of Garland’s departure from Ignis emerged earlier this month; he had spent six years with the firm.

London-based Ardevora is due to launch a UK equity income fund next month, according to the report – its first offering for the retail market.

Ardevora has been busily hiring ahead of the launch, recruiting Jeremy Lang and William Pattisson from Liontrust, along with Rob Page, latterly Ignis’s head of marketing.
