JP Morgan AM Announces Americas Investment Chief

JP Morgan Asset Management has announced the appointment of
George Gatch as chief executive of its investment management
Americas unit.
Gatch is the president and chief executive officer of JP Morgan
Funds. In his new role, he will assume overall responsibility for
all of the investment management businesses on the US platform.
He takes over from
Eve Guernsey, who has said that she will retire by year
end.
He will also be responsible for both the US institutional and
retirement plan business currently held by Guernsey.
The promotion is in line with the firm's initiative to run the
global investment management business using a regional-governance
model, the company said in a memo. To that end,
David Hsu has been appointed to oversee the Asia Pacific
region, while
Jamie Broderick is heading the UK, continental Europe and
Latin America.
