Invesco Names Retail Co-Heads For Continental Europe

Invesco has appointed Sergio Trezzi and Miguel Rona to jointly head its retail business across continental Europe as it moves to grow its cross-border fund range.
Trezzi has been with Invesco since 1999 and in addition to overseeing the firm’s retail business in Italy and Greece he is credited with having led the roll-out of the firm’s ETF brand, Powershares, across continental Europe.
Rona, who joined Invesco in 2000, is currently responsible for retail business in Spain, Portugal and Latin America; he will now assume responsibility for Invesco's retail activities in Switzerland and France.
In their new roles Trezzi and Rona report to Invesco’s chief executive for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, James Robertson.
In other group-level developments at the firm this year, May saw Powershares launch two new ETFs based on the Research Affiliates Fundamental Index methodology: the PowerShares Fundamental Pure Large Growth Portfolio and the PowerShares Fundamental Pure Large Value Portfolio. They are based on the RAFI Fundamental Large Growth and the RAFI Fundamental Large Value indices respectively.
