Invesco Names New Chief Executive

UK-based Invesco Perpetual has appointed Mark Armour as its new EMEA head, which at the firm includes UK, Continental Europe and the Middle East.
Armour, who currently leads Invesco’s global institutional business, will take over responsibility from chief executive James Robertson, who will retire at the end of this year owing to health issues.
Armour joined Invesco in 2002, when he was appointed as CEO of Invesco Australia. In 2006 he took on the role of head of global sales and service for the firm’s institutional business.
Prior to joining Invesco, Armour was chief investment officer at ANZ bank and held several senior leadership roles in the fund management sector in Australia and Hong Kong.
In other recent moves at the firm, last month Invesco appointed its chief investment officer Nick Mustoe to manage its Global Equity Income Fund, following the recent departure of Paul Boyne and Doug McGraw.
