ETF Securities has launched a range of 14 new sterling-hedged exchange-traded commodities on the London Stock Exchange.

The products are designed to minimise the effects of currency volatility in the portfolios of sterling-based investors by reducing the exposure to the US dollar, the currency in which most commodities are priced.

At the end of last month, the company launched four new ETCs exposed to Brent crude oil in a bid to capitalise on soaring oil prices.
