BoNY Mellon Taps Wells Fargo for Southern Director

The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation appointed former Wells Fargo senior vice president Tracy Nickl to head the firm’s Southern California network which comprises offices in Los Angeles, Glendale, Century City and Newport Beach. The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation was a wealth management business created last month as part of the $17.6 billion acquisition of Pittsburgh-based Mellon Financial by The Bank of New York. The business ranks as one of the top 10 US wealth managers with approximately $155 billion in private client assets and 83 offices globally, according to the firm. As managing director of BoNY Mellon Wealth Management in Southern California, Ms Nickl will oversee wealth management business development efforts in the region and will report to regional president David Emmes. A US industry publication yesterday quoted David Lamere, Boston-based vice chairman and chief executive of BoNY Mellon Wealth Management, saying the company needed to expand its presence in the Midwest and Southwest, particularly Texas. But he told the publication the firm’s first priority would be to build its presence in the New York metropolitan area.
