Zurich Life Adds Africa Fund To Hong Kong Platform
Zurich International Life has added the Alquity Africa Fund to the range of funds offered to Hong Kong investors on its regular savings platform.
The Africa Fund, set up in June 2010, invests in companies that are listed on 13 of Africa’s stock exchanges or that derive most of their income or profit from within Africa. In the year to December 2012, the fund's US dollar share class grew by 15.1 per cent.
“Our new agreement with Zurich makes us more accessible to savers in Hong Kong who want access to African growth in sectors as diverse as telecoms, financial services and commodities, across the continent,” Alquity Asia chief executive, Paul Freer, said in a statement.
Alquity donates a minimum of 25 per cent of its net management fees to microfinance projects in Africa.
