ZEDRA has brought over a legal veteran from London law firm Macfarlanes to fill its latest vacancy.

ZEDRA, the trust, corporate and fund services firm, has expanded its London-based team with the hire of Bridget Barker as executive director of funds and corporate operations.

Barker joined ZEDRA from London law firm Macfarlanes. In total, she has nearly 36 years' experience in legal issues, and has extensive knowledge in the areas of private equity and real estate.

During her time at Macfarlanes, she developed and headed its funds group and also led its investment group, which comprised 90 lawyers.

In her new role, Barker will be tasked with enhancing ZEDRA's corporate and fund services and creating opportunities for market growth. Additionally, she will participate in networking events, global panel discussion and spokesperson events.

“Bridget has an extraordinary industry profile and with our growing service capabilities here at ZEDRA, she will have the perfect platform to help us build our firm in the UK and beyond,” said Ivo Hemelraad, ZEDRA's group director of corporate funds and legal.

ZEDRA is based in 11 jurisdictions and employs 370 staff.
