Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Allspring, Evelyn Partners, Others

The latest moves and appointments in wealth management in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and other select locations.

Allspring Global Investments
Allspring Global Investments, a global asset management company with $570 billion under advisement, has appointed Francesco Monge, CFA, as sales director for the Middle East and Africa.

Monge will be responsible for leading strategy and execution in these regions as part of the International Client Group. He will be based in London and report to Andy Sowerby, head of the International Client Group, the firm said in a statement.

Monge has more than 30 years of experience in the industry and a track record of leading institutional sales across the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia. Previously, he served as managing director at Wellington Management International overseeing the company’s institutional business in the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia. Before that, he was at Citigroup, where he served as asset management director for Southern Europe and the Middle East. Monge has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Bocconi University in Italy, graduating cum laude. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation and is a member of the CFA UK.

“I believe his impressive background, proven track record and deep expertise will be incredibly valuable as we continue to evolve the company's institutional business to help investors pursue both financial returns and positive outcomes,” Sowerby said.

Evelyn Partners
Evelyn Partners, a UK-based wealth management and professional services group, has appointed George Uglow as a financial planner.

He will be based in the Exeter office which offers clients across the West Country locally delivered, personal financial planning and investment management services, the firm said in a statement.

Uglow, who has worked in the financial services industry for more than 15 years, was previously a chartered financial planner at Cavendish Medical. He is experienced in providing traditional advice services as well developing specialisms in planning with the NHS pension and for individual recipients of personal injury settlements.

“George brings particular experience and expertise providing financial advice to recipients of personal injury settlements and planning in relation to the NHS pension scheme. I know he’ll be instrumental in helping us continue to grow our presence in the West Country,” Mark Wilkins, managing partner in Evelyn Partners’ Exeter office, said.

Bentley Reid
Bentley Reid, an employee-owned wealth manager, has made two senior appointments, based in its London office: Kevin Andrews as head of IT and operations and Martin Azzinnaro as head of investment operations. Azzinnaro will report into Andrews.

Andrews (pictured) spent the last five years in a variety of roles at Arbuthnot Latham, most recently as senior platform lead. He established and led Arbuthnot Latham’s banking and payment programme and was responsible for the transformation of the bank’s online banking, mobile banking app and FX Trading platform. He has also worked for Tilney Group and C Hoare & Co.

Azzinnaro has served in senior operational roles at Edgbaston Investment Partners and Silchester International Investors. He began his career in the private client wealth team at Macquarie Group in Sydney.
