Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Withers

The latest moves in wealth management across Europe and the Middle East.

Withers
Withers has hired Rachel Hawkins as a corporate tax partner in London, a role that includes working on family offices transactions, among other areas. She joins from O'Melveny & Myers, and previously worked at Baker & McKenzie.

Hawkins advises on share and asset sales and purchases, corporate finance transactions, corporate and fund formations and restructurings, establishing and unwinding joint ventures for private equity firms, corporates and investors, working on family office transactions and the structuring of management investment arrangements.

"Rachel's hire is an important step for our London practice, reflecting the increased demand for corporate tax advice generated by the growth of our corporate work for clients," Jeremy Arnold, co-head of Withers' Private Client and Tax division, said. "For instance, we are increasingly working with tech businesses, thanks to the arrival of our JAG Shaw Baker colleagues, to form Withers Tech in August 2018. Our US, Asian and Italian practices have well established strengths in corporate tax advice, and it has been an important strategic aim to bolster this in London."
