Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Janus Henderson Investors, Aegon AM

The latest senior moves in wealth and asset management from across Europe and the UK.

Janus Henderson Investors
Janus Henderson Investors has made two senior hires in its London-based investment trust team. Dan Howe has been named deputy head of investment trusts, and Oliver Packard head of investment trust sales.

Howe is moving from J P Morgan Asset Management, where he was most recently executive director for global strategic relationships. In his new role he will report to trusts head James de Sausmarez.

Packard is joining from Panmure Gordon, where he held a senior post in investment fund sales. Prior to that, he spent more than five years as sales director in investment trust sales at Cenkos Securities PLC.

Aegon AM
Aegon Asset Management has added three personnel to its responsible investment team.

Based in the UK, Andy Woods has been appointed as a responsible investment manager, supporting the equities and multi-asset investment platforms. His primary responsibility will be for the voting activities and related engagements with Aegon's portfolio companies. Woods previously headed the Institutional Voting Information Service of the Association of British Insurers.

Curtis Zappala is joining as a responsible investment associate in the US. His focus will be on ESG integration and engagement, supporting Aegon’s fixed income investment platform. Zappala was previously a member of the sustainability team at United Parcel Service. He has also held sustainable-related positions at SunShare and Growth International Volunteer Excursions.

The third appointment is Jamie McAloon, a responsible investment associate, supporting the equities and multi-asset investment platforms. UK-based, McAloon will be primarily responsible for supporting the sustainable range of products, providing analysis in line with the firm’s sustainability research framework. He was formerly at Abrdn, where he was a private equity finance analyst.

The new hires bring Aegon's sustainable investment team to 17.
