UK wealth manager Brooks Macdonald
has appointed Simon Brookes as a director in its financial
planning team.
Brookes has more than 15 years’ experience of providing counsel
to high net worth private clients.
He joins from James Hambro & Partners. He is a Chartered
Financial Planner, holds the Advanced Diploma in Financial
Planning and is Fellow Member of the Personal Finance
Society.
Basler Kantonalbank
Swiss banking group Basler
Kantonalbank has appointed Regula Berger as head of legal and
compliance and chief counsel, effective 1 October. Basler will
also sit on the executive committee.
Berger will succeed Christian Schöniger, who has decided to
retire after 20 years at the firm, it said in a
statement.
She joins the Basel-based company from Zuercher Kantonalbank,
where she was for more than a decade.
In her new role, she will take over Schöniger’s responsibility to
deal with the firm’s tax disputes with the US authorities.
