Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Cazenove Capital, Evelyn Partners, Others

The latest moves and appointments in wealth management in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and other select locations.

Evelyn Partners
Evelyn Partners, the UK wealth management and professional services group, has appointed Craig Dowsett as a financial planning director, based in its London office.

Dowsett (pictured) is a Chartered Financial Planner who specialises in working with business owners and families in all areas of their business and personal financial planning. He was previously at Vintage Wealth Management Limited where he spent more than seven years working as an independent financial advisor. Prior to that he was a professional rugby player at Rotherham Titans RUFC and received representative honours for England Students Rugby, as well as full representative honours for Belgium.

“We are really excited to have Craig join our team. His track record of working with external professional connections developing plans for SMEs and owner managed businesses make him a great addition to the team. Craig’s sporting experience playing international rugby provides him with a drive that will complement the rest of our financial planning team,” Adam Osper, managing partner in Evelyn Partners’ London office said.

“This will be a really important step in my career and I look forward to working with my new colleagues to provide our financial planning services to clients,” Dowsett said.

Cazenove Capital
Cazenove Capital, the wealth management arm of Schroders, has appointed Nathalie Connell as associate portfolio manager in the North-West of England to support its regional expansion.

Connell, who has eight years' experience in the wealth management industry, has worked with a wide range of clients across the North of England, the firm said in a statement this week. She is joining from Brown Shipley, where she worked as a client advisor. She started her career in the industry at Tilney Investment Management.

Connell will report to Simon Pearson, Cazenove Capital’s regional head of the North of England, and will help serve Cazenove Capital’s growing client base in the North-West, the firm added. Welcoming the move, Karan Sejpal, head of business owners and UK regions, said: "Nathalie will play a key role in further strengthening our presence in the North-West."

Franklin Templeton
Franklin Templeton has appointed Jacob Rowe as business development director for its UK wholesale distribution team.

He will be covering the South West and the Midlands serving a number of large, strategic clients and will report in Harry Reeves, head of sales UK wholesale. Rowe, who has nearly 10 years of industry experience, has joined from Russell Investments where he spent the last seven years in an intermediary distribution role.

Rowe started his career as a professional football player with Birmingham City FC at a time when they were a Premier League club. He later pivoted his career from sports towards financial services where he started with JP Morgan’s investment bank, before joining Russell Investments.

“In the current market environment, UK intermediaries continue to play a crucial role in supporting their client base and ensuring they maximise their capital during this period of economic uncertainty. Maintaining and deepening our relationships with UK intermediaries is key, and the South West remains an important region within Franklin Templeton’s UK wholesale strategy. Jacob brings valuable experience in working with the intermediary community across the UK, and we are pleased to welcome him to the team,” Reeves said.

“I am delighted to be joining Franklin Templeton, a business with a proven track record of successful investment management. As a key market within the business’ global distribution strategy, I am excited to join at a time when the company continues to provide and expand its wide set of investment capabilities to UK-based clients,” Rowe said.
