US Bank Wealth Management Appoints Chief Equity Strategist

US Bank Wealth Management has named Terry Sandven chief equity strategist, a newly-created position in which he reports to chief investment officer Tim Leach.

Sandven will build and lead the equity team that manages individual stocks not managed by third-party managers, for all client accounts of Ascent Private Capital Management, the bank's ultra high net worth unit that serves individuals with at least $25 million in investible assets.

Additionally, Sandven will lead the equity workgroup, which supervises equity investment policy and strategic process, while serving as the primary source of information regarding equity investment.

Sandven is latterly of Piper Jaffray, where he served for over 18 years, most recently as head of product management. In that role, he analyzed, refined and distributed equity research recommendations across the firm, including market commentary.

As well as Ascent, US Bank Wealth Management also comprises the Private Client Reserve, which serves high net worth clients with over $1 million of investable assets.

As reported elsewhere in today's Family Wealth Report, US Bank has appointed Michelle Walker and Robert Stadler as managing director of investment consulting and managing director of private banking, respectively, for Ascent in Seattle (view here).
