UK-Based Investment Fintech Names Ex-BNY Mellon Man As COO

The new COO has also served in senior roles at Deutsche Bank, Lehman Brothers and Barclays.
A former senior BNY
Mellon manager has joined UK-based fintech house Delio as chief operating
officer.
With more than 20 years’ experience in financial services roles,
Paul Burleton previoiusly worked as head of regulatory strategy,
global operations and technology at BNY Mellon. Burleton has also
held senior operations positions at Deutsche Bank, Lehman
Brothers and Barclays, where he was global head of equity and
prime services operations. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, he spent
six years in technology consulting where he led on various
regulatory initiatives and built strategic partnerships with
RegTech solution providers.
Delio has been recruiting for a new COO since Gareth Morgan left
this role after finalising the company’s growth investment from
Octopus Ventures. Morgan is still a member of its advisory board
and has moved to Hedgehog as its head of finance and risk.
(Hedgehog enables eligible investors to tap real assets for lower
levels than previously via tokenization.)
Delio operates across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.
Its technology helps financial institutions – including wealth
managers – to connect their clients with private investment
opportunities. It serves over 90 financial institutions. More
than $26 billions' worth of investment opportunities are
currently shared across Delio-powered platforms.
