UK Private Bank Names Office Head For Manchester

Brown Shipley, the UK-based private bank, has named Peter Stiles as head of its Manchester office – an appointment which closely follows that of a new Birmingham head.

Stiles, a 25-year veteran of Brown Shipley, will oversee the firm’s investment management, banking and financial planning teams in Manchester, while also continuing to run client money. The appointment of Stiles to run the Manchester office is the result of Julian Hardiman, latterly head of private banking for the northwestern region, being given a UK-wide remit. Hardiman is, however, still based in Manchester.

Last month Brown Shipley named Anne Brookes as head of its Birmingham office, charging her specifically with the development of the bank’s relationship with regional entrepreneurs and business owners. Brookes has been with the bank since the start of 2011, having previously been a senior client partner at Coutts.
