UK's Stonehage Law Appoints Legal, Trusts Sector Luminary

Stonehage Law, the London Law firm which works with the multi family office Stonehage, has appointed Michael Evans as a director. He will report to Len Durham, executive director of the Stonehage Group and head of Stonehage Law.

Evans ichael joins after 23 years at law firm Burges Salmon, most recently as partner and head of international tax and trusts - positions he held since 1999. In the past, he has advised several financial institutions on their international trust business, including Julius Baer, Coutts, Citibank and Barclays.

He also spent several years as head of Burges Salmon’s international committee, developing its international strategy and building its client base in Latin America, Africa, South-East Asia and the Middle-East.

Evans is an English solicitor with experience in the international tax, trust and private client field, and a particular specialisation in advising non-domiciled UK residents (res non doms). He graduated in 1989.
