UBS Poaches Two Advisory Groups From Rivals

UBS Wealth Management has added two financial advisory groups to its Americas team. 

The Findley/Wise Group join the Toledo, Ohio office, bringing to the firm production of $6.3 million and assets under management of around $800 million. The team is composed of Craig Findley, who joins as managing director; Ken Wise, who also joins as managing director; and Brian Funkhouser, who joins as first vice president. They report to Jeffrey Catlin, the branch manager.

The second group is moving to the Rochester office in New York and brings approximately $375 million in assets under management to the unit. The team is made up of Michael Amico as first vice president-investments, Michael Cooper also as first vice president-investments, Rocco Pietropaolo as senior VP-investments and Philip DiPasquale as VP-investments. The four report to Sam Messina, executive director and complex director for NY state. 

The past few months have seen a number of new hires at UBS Wealth Management Americas. Most recently, Barry Mitchell moved from Merrill Lynch to take the role of senior vice president-investments for the Park Avenue office in New York. Before that, Arthur Polner joined the Boulder branch and Jesse Rodriguez joined the Newport Beach branch. In early November, UBS also brought in the team of Ajay Desai from Morgan Stanley's private wealth business in Chicago. The Desai Group recorded a 12-month revenue of $8.3 million.
