UBS Names New Russia Wealth Head, Adds To Team

The world's largest wealth management firm has added two senior figures in its Russia and central/eastern Europe business.
UBS has appointed a senior
figure from JP
Morgan and named a new head of wealth management in Russia,
part of a bid to boost business in central Europe and Russia.
The bank has appointed Elena Griffin, JP Morgan’s head of wealth
management for Russia, to become vice chair of the Central and
Eastern Europe, Greece and Israel region and has promoted
Ekaterina Lehmann to become head of global wealth management in
Russia, WealthBriefing can confirm. Both of them are
taking on newly created roles.
Griffin’s appointment is designed to help UBS extend its
involvement with family offices in the region, led by Caroline
Kuhnert. Griffin recently led JPMorgan’s private banking and
wealth management business for international clients in New York.
Griffin joined JP Morgan in 2008, according to her Linkedin
profile. Prior to that, she was at BNP Paribas. She will be
joining UBS in July.
Lehmann, head of the UBS’s global family office and UHNW clients
for Russia and countries in the Commonwealth of Independent
States (CIS), will lead wealth management in Russia and CIS
countries. She has been at the Swiss banking group since 2005,
her Linkedin profile said.
