The company that was recently acquired by UK wealth management rival Tilney Bestinvest has added to its financial planning team in the North of England.

Towry has appointed Simon Hewitt as a financial planner and wealth manager within its Knutsford, Cheshire team.

Hewitt, previously an independent financial advisor, most recently worked at HSBC. There, he served private clients, primarily business directors and owners. He has six years of industry experience.

“Simon has a proven track record in financial services and of developing relationships with new and existing clients. He will be a great addition to our growing team in Knutsford,” said Ann-Marie Atkins, managing partner, financial planning at Towry.

Towry’s parent company, Tilney Bestinvest, looks after more than £20 billion ($24 billion) of assets on behalf of over 110,000 clients. The group has 30 offices across the UK.
