Towry Adds Personal Injury Specialist In Guildford

The UK wealth manager has welcomed its first such specialist in Guildford, Surrey.

Towry has appointed Paul Sayers, a personal injury and clinical negligence specialist, as a wealth advisor within its Guildford office.

Sayers joined the firm's Leeds office in 2011, having previously worked with private clients for HSBC Bank. He will be Towry's first personal injury and clinical negligence specialist in Guildford. He brings 20 years’ experience in financial planning, the last 11 of which he spent working with vulnerable clients.

In 2008, he qualified for Later Life Accreditation through the UK's Financial Services Skills Council, an award that focuses on both the technical knowledge and empathy skills of advisors when dealing with vulnerable clients.

The firm, which is in the process of being acquired by fellow UK wealth manager Tilney Bestinvest, has been busy adding to its regional teams. Most recently, it hired Paul Hudson and Simon Davis as financial planners in Leeds. In April, Amanda Cook joined the Bournemouth office as a financial planner and wealth manager.

Towry had £9.1 billion ($13 billion) of client assets under management or advice as of the end of 2015.
