Tilney Hires Cofunds' Coles To Lead Financial Intermediaries

Tilney for Intermediaries has named a director of financial intermediaries - a new role at the firm.

The UK's Tilney for Intermediaries has appointed Cofunds' Mark Coles as its new director of financial intermediaries.

Coles joins from his position as head of business partnerships at Cofunds. He brings 15 years' experience across asset management sales and distribution roles, working with advisory businesses, banks and building societies, as well as providers of discretionary and model portfolios in the retail and charity investment sectors.

He has formerly served as head of business partnerships at Architas and investment strategy manager at AXA Wealth.

Based in Birmingham, Coles will report to the head of Tilney for Intermediaries, Miles Robinson. In the newly-created role, he will be responsible for strengthening Tilney's existing relationships with advisory firms, as well as building new ones.

"Mark joins the firm at an important time as we look to expand our reach to an even greater number of financial planners," said Robinson.

“As well as aiding our work in building Tilney’s client bank, his skills in deepening existing partnerships will be of upmost importance.”

Tilney for Intermediaries, part of London-headquartered investment and financial planning firm Tilney Bestinvest, has investment management teams in Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool and London.
