Tilney Bestinvest Partners With Scottish Legal Body
The professional body for Scottish solicitors has welcomed Tilney Bestinvest to its expert partner offering.
The Law Society Of Scotland has appointed Tilney Bestinvest as an expert partner for investment management and financial advice.
The new agreement will see the London-headquartered firm offer investment and financial planning to solicitors' clients. The society is set to launch a series of further such partnerships this year to provide resources for solicitors looking after the financial affairs of clients and trustees.
“Professional financial advice for clients has become an increasingly important area of work for solicitors as people seek to protect, grow and ultimately pass on their assets,” said the Law Society of Scotland's chief executive, Lorna Jack.
“They look to their solicitor for expert advice and our new partnership with Tilney Bestinvest will help our members provide that expertise and help deliver more value for their clients.”
Tilney Bestinvest has been busy recently with a flurry of appointments. Recent additions include the Financial Services Authority's former chief executive John Tiner to the firm's board, as well as Nicola Audhlam-Gardiner, who joined as managing director of its new joint venture with Saga, named Saga Investment Services.
