There Is An Awful Lot Of Wealth In Brazil - Wealth-X

New data from Wealth-X, a firm providing intelligence on the number and growth of ultra high net worth individuals, said there are 4,725 individuals in Brazil worth $30 million or more, putting it in third spot in comparison to other BRIC nations.
Brazil's collective net worth is at least $890 billion when accounting for shares in public and private companies, residential and investment properties, art collections, planes, cash and other investible assets, the organisation said in a statement.
The data adds to evidence as to why Latin America is becoming an increasingly attractive market for the wealth management industry, although there remain sharp differences across the continent. (To view a related article on these issues, click here.)
There are more than 3,100 Brazilians worth between $30 million and $100 million, and another 630 worth between $100 million and $200 million. Their combined net worth: at least $260 billion.
There are at least 50 billionaires in Brazil, and more than 200 individuals worth more than $500 million. They are worth at least a combined $420 billion, representing almost half of the collective net worth of all the UHNW individuals in Brazil.
