Geneva-based Helvetica Wealth Management Partners has made Roy Tashi the new executive chairman of its Australian subsidiary.
Mr Tashi has established and run several businesses in various sectors including manufacturing, distribution, importing, exporting and trading. Prior to joining Helvetica, he focused on managing a personal portfolio of investments in domestic and international private equity and property development.
Helvetica's product range includes traditional long-only funds, funds of hedge funds, thematic funds and real estate investments. At 30 September 2008, total assets were $3.3 billion.
In February, Michael Landymore and Ian Smart joined the firm to further strengthen the Léman team. This team advises a suite of traditional long-only funds focused on long term alpha generation. Within the team, Mr Landymore advises the Global Food and Agriculture fund, while Mr Smart is working on the upcoming launch of a Helvetica’s Bond Alpha fund.
