Stonehage Names Executive Director, Head Of London Family Office

Stonehage Group, the European multi-family office, has appointed the former chief executive of Rothschild Trust Group, David McLellan, as an executive director and head of its London family office.
As CEO of Rothschild Trust Group and a member of the executive board of Rothschild Private Bank & Trust, McLellan spent five years based in Zurich. Before this he served as an international tax advisor with Baker & McKenzie in Zurich and Ernst & Young in Melbourne. He has 20 years’ experience in law, fiduciary and wealth management overall.
In his new role McLellan reports to Andrew Nolan, managing director of Stonehage’s international family office division.
McLellan’s appointment follows that of Rupert Hague-Holmes as a Jersey-based director within Stonehage’s private client and trust arm in January. Hague-Holmes joined from Kleinwort Benson, where he was head of legal services and group legal director working with the firm’s trust/fiduciary business.
Stonehage serves ultra high net worth families and entrepreneurs, with some 400 staff in 14 offices globally.
