Senior Ex-Rothschild, Barclays Exec Joins UK Wealth Manager

Heartwood Wealth Management has recruited
Noland Carter, former chief investment office of Barclays and
Rothschild Private Banking businesses, to be its CIO and head of
its Investment Management Division. He will also be a director
and member of the company’s senior leadership team.
Mr Carter started his investment career at Save & Prosper and
Mercury Asset Management before moving to Ivory & Sime as head of
global equities. He crossed from institutional asset management
to private wealth management with his appointment as Barclays
Private Banking’s Global CIO in 1997.
Between 1999 and 2005 he established and was chief executive of
Barclays Investment Services and more recently he has been CEO of
Rothschild Private Management and Global CIO of
Rothschild Private Banking and Trust.
Mr Carter left Rothschild last June when Veit de Maddalena was appointed chief executive in a major management re-shuffle.
Heartwood was founded 20 years ago and specialises in providing a
comprehensive range of wealth management services, spanning
investment management and integrated wealth structuring. Its wide
spectrum of clients includes entrepreneurs, FTSE directors,
senior City figures and other high net worth individuals and
families.
It currently manages and administers over £1 billion of
investments on behalf of these clients.
